To obtain this "fabric effect" a master goldsmith has engraved, stripe by stripe, the whole precious surface. The same technique has been used with goldsmiths since Renaissance times.  

  Our Italian designed bracelet is 1/2 inches across and has five[5] carats of bright white sapphires gemstones featured by a sterling thread design shaped in a four-leaf clover design inlaid in a masterful sterling pewter" Rigato" liquid thread design.
